AIPGMEE 2014 exam results likely to be declared on January 31

The National Board of Examinations is likely to declare the results of AIPGMEE ( All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination) for the year 2014 on 31st January, 2014. The Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination was held from 25th November, 2013 to 6th December, 2013.


72, 197 candidates have registered for the AIPGMEE examination and the test was held at 71 centers across 28 cities all over India.  The AIPGMEE is the eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admissions to All India 50% Government quota of MD/MS/PG Diploma courses all over India except Jammu Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh.






The Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Odisha states will accept the AIPGMEE 2014 scores for their 50% state quota seats.    The University of Delhi will also accept AIPGMEE score for 50% quota seats.

SBI Recruitment 2013 - Chief Technology Officer

State Bank of India (SBI) has recently issued a notification for recruitment of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on a contractual basis at its Global IT Centre in Navi Mumbai.  

The eligible candidates can send their applications on or before 7th December, 2013 by email and also the hard copy of the applications by 14th December, 2013.  


Age Limit: The minimum age should be 40 years and the maximum age limit for the candidate should not exceed 55 years as on 1.11.2013.
 
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be first class Engineering Graduate from a recognized University / Institution or an MCA from a recognized University / Institution. Post Graduation or higher qualifications in areas relevant to the role will be given preference.

Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in personal interview.

Madhya Pradesh to conduct Medical Entrance Exams through CBSE

In view of various scams occurred last year in the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Medical Entrance Test (MPPMT) examinations, the Director of Medical Education in Madhya Pradesh has decidd to conduct medical entrance examinations in the state through CBSE instead of State's Professional Examination Board (Vyapam).

The Director of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh said that they have decidd to conduct MBBS and BDS entrance exams through CBSE and the MDS entrance test through AIIMS from 2014 onwards.   As per the news headlines, he said that MPPMT has been caught up with scams from the last few years and even in 2013.

UPSC Advt No 13/2013 for various vacancies - Last date 3rd October, 2013

Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has advertised for recruitment of 57 various posts in various departments of Central Government of India.  The last date for online application is on or before 3-10-2013 by 23:59 hrs.  Eligible candidates can apply online. 

GATE 2014 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who wants to apply for GATE 2014 should know the full details of the Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2014.  The eligibility criteria for GATE 2014 gives full details about the qualification in terms of academics, age, pass percentage and the marks in the qualifying examination.  Only those candidates who meet the specified eligibility criteria for GATE 2014 will be allowed to apply for GATE 2014 and write the examination.

What is new in GATE 2014


There are some changes in GATE 2014 compared to GATE 2013.  Here are the details of what is new in GATE 2014.

  1. A new paper "Ecology and Evolution" is introduced in GATE 2014.
      
  2.  The examination for all the 22 papers will be held online computer based test.  Some questions will need numerical answers to be keyed in by the candidate using the virtual keyboard.  Rest of the questions will be of multiple choice type.
  3. GATE 2014 will be held in multiple sessions. There will be 12 testing windows spread over one month period between 1st February to 2nd March, 2014.
  4. Papers with more number of applicants will have more number of sessions.  This means that there will be two separate papers of similar difficulty levels in these streams
  5. The application fee has been increased to 1500 for general and OBC category students while it is 750 for female and SC/ST students.   Last year, the application fee was waived off for female applicants.
