UPSE announces final results of Assistant Engineer ( Grade-I) - 2014

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the final result for Assistant Engineer (Grade - I) Posts in the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Ministry of Mines. Candidates selected on the basis of Computer Based Recruitment Test held on 29 June 2014 followed by the Interview which was conducted from 29 September 2014 to 01 October 2014 and the final result was declared on 31 October 2014. 

Totally 12 candidates are qualified for the post of Assistant Engineer ( Grade-I). 4 candidates are kept in waiting list.  The list of of provisionally selected candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer in Geological Survey of India are given in the link given below.

  • The online test is an Objective type of examination consisting of sections such as Test of reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, English language.  The duration of the test is 2 hours
  • The candidates have to pass in each of the test to be considered for Interview.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is planning to recruit 250 Engineers through GATE-2013 examination.   The vacancies exists for Engineers in the disciplines of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics&Communications and Instrumentation Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should  have passed the qualifying engineering degree in above mentioned disciplines ( full time regular courses only) from recognized Universities.   The General category of candidates should secure minimum of 60% marks and it is relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.  The candidates studying in final year may also apply but they should be able to submit their degree certificates by 31st August,2013.  and the marks secured should be 60% or more upto last semester at the time of applying.


Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 25 years as on 30th June, 2013 for general category of candidates.  Age limit is relaxed for OBC, SC/ST and PWD candidates as per Presidential directive.

ISRO conducts examinations for the post of Assistants.  Here are some details of the ISRO Exam 2013, Paper Pattern, Centers and Online application forms.

Selection Process of ISRO Exam 2013

ISRO conducts the ISRO Exam for selection of Assistants almost every year. The eligible candidates are selected based on the performance in the ISRO Written test and the Interview. The candidates whose performance is good in written test and interview will be selected based on the order of merit.

Examination pattern of ISRO Exam 2013

The written examination for recruitment of ISRO Assistants consists of 2 papers - Paper I and Paper II. Each paper consists of 100 marks. There is no prescribed syllabus for ISRO Exam for Assistants but you can check the previous year question papers and see the pattern of the ISRO exam so that you can prepare for ISRO exam 2013. The Paper I contains questions on General English and General Studies. The descriptive questions in English consists of only 2 questions - Essay and Letter writing which carry 10 marks each. The General Studies section consists of questions on "Test of Reasoning". The duration of ISRO Exam paper I is 2 hours. Paper II consists of questions on Arithmetic, GK and computer literacy. The duration of paper II is 2 1/2 hours.


Eligibility for ISRO Exam 2013:-
Any University Degree ( B.A / B.Sc. / B.com   etc..)  or equivalent in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% .  
AGE : 35 years as on 28-02-2013
